We can’t recommend The Happy Tail Saver enough! Our dog unfortunately got her tail caught in the front door, which caused painful lacerations and eventually led to a partial amputation. If we had purchased the Tail Saver earlier, we feel the amputation could have been avoided entirely.
Once we started using it, the Tail Saver provided incredible comfort for our dog and peace of mind for us. She adjusted to the harness quickly, and it was clear that it brought her relief. The design is not only practical but also well-made and easy to use.
This product has been a game-changer for protecting her tail during recovery, and it’s now part of our routine to ensure her safety. If you’re looking for a way to safeguard your pup’s tail, this is a must-have!

After a 4 week battle trying to get juras tail to heal after a happy tail amputation,We thought it wouldnt hurt to try this harness. Theres absolutely nothing like tuis uet in the uk so was super happy at the very fast delivery, after only 2 days the vets and myself have noticed a huge difference. Juras amputation point is looking good but her bandage rub is still too sore and bleeds to remove all bandages at the moment but this harness is preventing her dressings from getting wet. Which with a dry dressing it's helping with her healing. Vets wanted to take juras tail off completely which I disagreed and wanted to give the harness a try. So far so good. Not out the woods at all but she's progressed more with the harness than I'd ever imagined. The UK vets can't believe this harness even existed
Tail wagging syndrome. He hit the tail various times and wouldn’t let it heal We still haven’t taken the time to wash the wagged blood that is all over our front porch and door. It looks like a crime scene
Unfortunately we were not able to avoid a partial tail amputation with our girl due to a very deep laceration on the tip of her tail. She had about 3 inches of her tail removed. During her 2 week recovery with her sutures, she continued to hit her tail and have some bleeding. After sutures were removed, she still was hitting the tip of her tail and causing bleeding everywhere - turning our house into a crime scene daily. We tried wrapping her tail, putting a sock on it, keeping her in our finished garage to avoid hitting it on things, and nothing worked. We were at a complete loss and figured another tail amputation would be in her future as her wound was not able to heal from her constantly hitting it. Fortunately, after some searching on google, we found the happy tail saver. Though very skeptical at first after seeing some similar things on Amazon with awful reviews, we took a risk and ordered it. It has been one of the best purchases ever! It has been an absolute game changer in healing our dogs tail. She is very social and high energy so keeping her from wagging her tail was impossible. This allowed her to freely play, run, and be back to her normal self again. I am so happy to share that her tail is now almost completely healed and no further tail amputation will be needed. Totally worth every penny spent and has saved so much anxiety both for me and my dog. Pictured is the tail laceration that caused a partial amputation, the tail tip after amputation that would not stop busting open, and her tail now almost completely healed in 2 weeks! (Just waiting for hair to grow back now!) We are so thankful for our Happy Tail Saver!
Our dog’s tail finally healed thanks to tailsaver. Though it took some time to learn and patience to get fitted on dog, once fitted correctly, it worked very well to protect the tail that was already injured. The tailsaver team walked me through the process via text and email, being available through this rough time of the tail injury. Any complications I had, they supported me. Thankful and now we don’t need it because his tail is all better.
Our dog, Brody, had a cut at the very tip of his tail that would not stop bleeding. I truly believe that without this product part of his tail would have been amputated. I actually drove to the company in Illinois and picked up the product. The owner personally helped me fit the harness and showed me how to put it on. After watching her and then watching the video on the website I was able to understand the process of attaching the two harnesses with the straps. It does take a few practice rounds but so worth the effort. I also was told by a veterinarian to put kids pants on and tuck his tail in to keep it from wagging. We did this when we were just hanging in the house and that helped with the healing process because his tail didn’t hit the walls or furniture.
I never review products but this is actually a life saver. My dog had a panic attack and ripped out her tail hair. We tried everything to prevent it from getting worse, comes, sock over tail, pool noodles, you name it I tried it. This is the ONLY thing that worked. She doesn’t pick at it, she seems very relaxed when wearing it, and after 2 weeks her tail is starting to grow back. If you have any tail related issues PLEASE PURCHASE ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
